Impressive Solid Cherry Wood Superking 6 ft wide headboard This unique headboard truly gives presence to the bedroom. None of your ‘cherry finish’ (usually pine). None of your ‘cherry’ which is usually veneers which can chip. This is a unique headboard of SOLID cherry wood. Moreover it has that beautiful cherry colour which so rich, subtle and special. Cherry is a very expensive wood - much more so than oak- and so is a more exclusive choice. And I know it is unique, because we had years of searching for our perfect headboard, and ended up having this made for us. Two field and raised panels. Simple and classy - the wood does the rest. This fitted our superking bed which was 2 x 3ft divan bases. In case we ever made them twin beds, we had this headboard made so it could fit the two beds separately, whilst not compromising the one headboard for the superking bed. Clever foreplanning. However, we are selling because we couldn’t foresee having to move into a Mews house where 6ft 6in length divan bases wouldn’t go up the stairs! They had to go off to the dump and we had to buy a bedstead to be assembled in the room. Of course, bedsteads come with integral bedheads, so my lovely headboard is sadly no longer needed, and is now an ABSOLUTE BARGAIN Comes apart for transport, of course.
